My name is Rana Ahmad and I’m a senior majoring in Engineering Physics. After graduating

from Cornell, I plan on taking a gap year or two during which I will work as a software developer

prior to going to medical school. Currently, I research in the McMahon lab working on utilizing

quantum computing to solve graph theory related problems and I also tutor for the LSC Physics

department. As for my hobbies, I am a member of Cornell Barbell Club and a powerlifter hoping

to compete in my first competition this November! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any

questions or just want to talk about how to navigate through Cornell as an engineer interested

in medicine!

I am a junior majoring in Computer Science from San Diego, California. I'm interested in the intersection of computer science with medicine and would love to continue to explore this as I learn more about the two fields. In my free time, I like to mentor kids and play board games with my friends.

I am a junior from Albany, NY majoring in biological engineering with a minor in business. On campus, I’m part of the Cornell EMS, and a volunteer kidney disease screening program. I also do research in Weill Hall working with drug delivery in cancer cells and mice. In my free time I like to play tennis and rock climb. After graduating, I hope to pursue medical school.

I am a senior from Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania studying biomedical engineering with a concentration in biomechanics. I do research in the van der Meulen Lab of orthopedic biomechanics studying osteoarthritis. I am also the pit captain of the CU Indoor Drumline. In the future, I hope to have a career somewhere within the medical field, either as a physician or an engineer.

My name is Lauren O’Keeffe! I’m from Lexington, MA, and I am a sophomore in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences majoring in Biological Sciences and potentially minoring in Global Health. I joined eMed last year as a freshman because I was really interested in biomedical engineering and medicine. After I graduate from Cornell, I hope to go on to medical school with the ultimate goal of being a physician. In addition to my academics and participation in eMed, I work as a Student Administrative Assistant in the Engineering Learning Initiatives Office and will be starting this semester as a Student Research Assistant in the Fischbach Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. I am also a member of Alpha Chi Omega, a social sorority on campus, and like to spend my free time hanging out with friends or relaxing outside.
